EIA: US Retail Regular Gasoline Average Up 3.5cts on Week
OAKHURST, N.J. (DTN) --- The national average for retail regular gasoline
moved off a better than eight-month low, rising 3.5cts to $3.171 gallon as of
Monday (10/14), 40.5cts lower than the same week in 2023, according to the
latest data from the Energy Information Administration.
Prices posted gains across the major PADDs, with the exception of the Rocky
Mountain PADD 4 where the price continued lower. At $3.258 gallon, the PADD 4
price fell 1.3cts to a 30-week low. Data show the Midwest PADD 2 retail regular
gasoline price posted the largest weekly gain of the PADDs with a hike of
6.4cts to $3.100 gallon.
At the Gulf Coast PADD 3, the price rose 1ct to a five-week high $2.735
gallon while the West Coast PADD 5 rose 2cts to $4.047 gallon and the East
Coast PADD 1 increased 3.3cts to $3.042 gallon.
