CEC: Total CARB RFG Output Fell to 27Wk Low through Oct. 11 OAKHURST, N.J. (DTN) --- Southern California refiners again scaled back production of the state mandated reformulated gasoline during the week ended Oct. 11 while refiners in the north also cut output, according to the latest data from the California Energy Commission. CEC's Weekly Fuels Report shows southern Calif. refiners reduced CARB RFG production 192,000 bbl last week while output at northern facilities dropped 325,000 bbl. At 4.670 million bbl, overall production of the fuel was a 27-week low and 20.3% lower than a year ago. Total CARB RFG supply fell 40,000 bbl to 5.126 million bbl in the week ended Oct. 11, 10.1% lower than stocks held during the same week last year. Data show inventory at northern area storage facilities posted another weekly build, up 31,000 bbl while supply at southern sites was again lower, down 72,000 bbl on the week. Overall production of the for-export gasoline tumbled 715,000 bbl to 210,000 bbl and inventory declined 37,000 bbl to 1.246 million bbl last week. CEC reports statewide supply of gasoline blending components increased 399,000 bbl or 10.5% to 4.201 million bbl as of Oct. 11, 20.7% lower than the same week in 2023. (c) Copyright 2024 DTN, LLC.
