EIA: US Retail Regular Gasoline Average Drops 2.7cts on Week
OAKHURST, N.J. (DTN) --- The national average for retail regular gasoline
dropped 2.7cts to $3.144 gallon as of Monday (10/21), 38.9cts lower than the
same week in 2023, according to the latest data from the Energy Information
Administration.
Prices were lower across most of the major PADDs, with the exception of the
East Coast PADD 1 which posted the only week-on-week increase. At $3.054
gallon, the PADD 1 price climbed 1.2cts to a five-week high.
At the Midwest PADD 2, the average for retail regular gasoline tumbled
9.4cts to a five-week low $3.006 gallon while the Gulf Coast PADD 3 price fell
1.5cts to $2.720 gallon.
EIA reports the Rocky Mountain PADD 4 price dropped 3.7cts to $3.221 gallon,
the lowest price since the week-ended March 18 while the West Coast PADD 5
eased 1.3cts to $4.034 gallon.
