CEC: SoCal Refiners Reduced CARB RFG Output Last Week
OAKHURST, N.J. (DTN) --- Overall production of California mandated
reformulated gasoline dipped in the week ended Sept. 27 on reduced production
by refiners in the southern part of the state, according to the latest data
from the California Energy Commission.
CEC's Weekly Fuels Report shows total CARB RFG output declined 18,000 bbl to
4.995 million bbl last week, 13.3% below a year ago. Southern California
refiners scaled back production by 92,000 bbl while production at northern
facilities held higher, gaining 75,000 bbl on the week.
Total CARB RFG supply gained 67,000 bbl to 5.159 million bbl in the week
ended Sept. 27, 10.4% lower than stocks held during the same week last year.
Data show inventory at northern area storage facilities continued higher, up
68,000 bbl while supply at southern sites dipped slightly.
CEC reports statewide production of the for-export gasoline increased
217,000 bbl to 849,000 bbl and inventory eased 11,000 bbl to 1.054 million bbl
last week.
Total supply of gasoline blending components rose 40,000 bbl to 4.229
million bbl as of Sept. 27, 20% below the same week in 2023.
