CEC: CARB Gasoline Inventory Highest Since July 2024

Tacoma, WA (DTN) --- California-mandated reformulated gasoline stocks
continued to rise in early March, reaching the highest level since late July
2024, while non-California gasoline inventories also increased, according to
the latest California Energy Commission Weekly Fuels Report.
Production for all fuel categories declined except for other diesel and
non-California gasoline, according to the data.
Total CARB RFG production fell 651,000 bbl to 4.789 million bbl last week,
13.3% lower than a year ago. CARB RFG stocks climbed 202,000 bbl to 5.768
million bbl through March 7, 16.3% below this time in 2024.
CEC data show gasoline blending components stocks increased 126,000 bbl to
4.869 million bbl.
CARB diesel production declined 285,000 bbl to 584,000 bbl, while CARB
diesel stocks fell 300,000 bbl to 1.248 million bbl.
Other diesel fuel production surged 472,000 bbl to 1.075 million bbl, the
highest level in months, while other diesel stocks rose 95,000 bbl to 1.763
million bbl.
Non-California gasoline production rose 360,000 bbl to 588,000 bbl, while
non-California gasoline stocks increased 84,000 bbl to 958,000 bbl.
