EIA: US Propane/Propylene Supply Rose 4.9% Last Week OAKHURST, N.J. (DTN) --- The Energy Information Administration reports total domestic propane/propylene stocks of 61.967 million bbl in the week ending May 10, up 2.875 million bbl week-on-week and 1.688 million bbl, or 2.7% lower than in the same week last year. Data show propane/propylene exports last week averaged 1.9 million bpd, up 135,000 bpd week-on-week and 283,000 bpd, or 14.9%, higher than in the same week last year. Implied demand for propane/propylene in the United States averaged 548,000 bpd, down 273,000 bpd week-on-week and 70,000 bpd, or 12.8% lower than in the same week last year. EIA reports domestic propane/propylene production averaged 2.785 million bpd, down 36,000 bpd week-on-week and 303,000 bpd, or 10.9% higher than in the same week last year. East Coast PADD 1 inventories ended the week at 5.35 million bbl, up 270,000 bbl week-on-week and 741,000 bbl, or 13.9% higher than in the same week last year. Midwest PADD 2 inventories ended the week at 15.682 million bbl, up 893,000 bbl week-on-week and 1.067 million bbl, or 6.8% higher than in the same week last year. Gulf Coast PADD 3 inventories ended the week at 36.993 million bbl, up 1.499 million bbl week-on-week and 4.48 million bbl, or 12.1% lower than in the same week last year. Combined inventories in the Rockies and the West Coast, PADD 4 and 5, ended the week at 3.943 million bbl, up 214,000 bbl week-on-week and 985,000 bbl, or 25% higher than in the same week last year.
